Just The Next Best Item On Your Bucket List

WHO ARE WE?

Local roots, coastal charm, and a knack for finding the good stuff.

“Best. Day. Ever.”

FROM “JUST ANOTHER WEEKEND” TO…

Not Just a Tour. An Experience.

We get it. We’ve been there—stuck in the same routine, doing the same things, going to the same places, wondering if maybe life had gotten… a little predictable. That’s when the idea for The Farmcoast Experience hit us: what if adventure wasn’t far away, but right in our own backyard? So we grabbed the keys, mapped the vineyards, breweries, foodie joints, and hidden local gems, and turned an ordinary Saturday into something extraordinary. Now that’s what we do every day: create unforgettable Farmcoast adventures for people just like you.

Trade Routine for Adventure

So, How Did We Get Here?

From chasing dreams to chasing sunsets, this is why The Farmcoast Experience was born.

Some people collect souvenirs. I collect moments — and I wanted a way to share that with you. That’s how The Farmcoast Experience was born: out of a craving for connection, adventure, and the kind of stories you can’t buy on a shelf.

This coastline raised me. Even after years of living elsewhere, studying, working, traveling — the pull back home was undeniable. The Farmcoast isn’t just where I’m from. It’s where you find bespoke adventures tucked around every corner, small businesses that pour their soul into what they create, and experiences that remind you what life is supposed to feel like.

I started this company because memories matter. Real, tangible, “remember when…” kind of memories that you carry long after the ride ends. I wanted to give locals a fresh way to see their own backyard, and travelers a chance to fall in love with it, too.

But the truth? My biggest “why” is personal. It’s my two sons. Every tour, every laugh, every mile is proof to them that work can be playful, dreams can be chased, and joy is worth pursuing. If they learn that from me — that adventure isn’t just for weekends, it’s a way of life — then this whole dream is already a success.

UNLEASH YOUR JOY

Our Double-Decker With a Double Life

Born in Liverpool, reborn in Rhode Island. From hauling city commuters to hauling big adventure dreams — this bus has stories stacked as high as its seats.

Meet our 1987 Leyland Olympian — and the star of this whole ride. This isn’t just a bus. It’s a two-story time capsule with salt, stories, and a bit of British swagger built into its steel ribs.

From British Streets to Coastal Dreams

The Leyland Olympian was a staple of British transit from roughly 1979 to 1993 — born as a successor to the Bristol VRT, Leyland Atlantean, and Titan lines. It was designed to let bus operators pick their own bodybuilders, which is one reason there are so many styling variations. With its rear-mounted Gardner diesel engine, step-entrance layout, and sturdy frame, the Olympian was built to roll — and roll it did.

some point in its earlier life, our bus served as part of Liverpool’s city tram/bus network — carrying commuters, tourists, and maybe a cheeky kid sneaking upstairs for the prime view. That’s where it cut its teeth…and then the top right off the bus to upgrade its usage as a city tour bus.

Crossing the Pond

A British Beauty Becomes Rhode Island Royalty

When the bus’s U.K. chapter ended, fate (and Double Decker Imports) stepped in. Thanks to our now-great friends Jerry + Patrick, this British gem was imported from the UK to the East Coast under the 25-Year Rule (a U.S. law allowing vehicles older than 25 years to be imported).

It’s not just any bus — it’s the first double-decker bus ever registered in the state of Rhode Island. Boom. Local legend status unlocked.

Once it landed, the bus got more than just a fresh coat of paint. It got a second life: restored, reimagined, and repurposed to carry people, stories, and adventures. It guides you over coastal roads, lifts your spirits when you climb those stairs, and puts you somewhere between nostalgia and wanderlust.

Bus Lore

(BECAUSE ALL LEGENDS NEED LORE)

  • The Olympian was the last true Leyland double-decker before Leyland’s bus division was absorbed into Volvo…(which has made part sourcing a never ending saga of painstaking comedy)

  • Many Olympians served all across Britain, as well as in Hong Kong and Singapore — they weren’t just national heroes; they were globetrotters too.

  • Some buses of this type were adapted into open-top tour buses late in their lives, leaning into their “see it all from up top” heritage.

  • Double-decker buses aren’t common in the U.S. partly because of low overpasses, tight clearance, and infrastructure that favors single-level designs. That just makes our bus all the more rebellious here in New England.
